Casting Shots / Promotional Shots for Performing Arts Students

Since moving to our larger studio we have been photographing more performing artists and bands both classical and more contemporary.

Panoramic Photo causing quite a stir

We are always looking for new ways to portray familiar scenes around Maldon and it struck me one morning while coming in to the studio to attempt to make a big panoramic photo of both sides of the upper end of the High Street. This involved the taking and stitching together of some 60 photographs. The finished picture is some four feet long and has caused quite a stir in town when it was featured in the Essex Chronicle.

Market Hill is now also finished and is in our window right now.

Creative Wedding Photography on a budget

First of all we would like to say a big thank you to Katie and Dan for recommending us to Gareth and Lisa who are tying the knot at Gaynes Park in November. It was really nice meeting them and also little William, and as always it will be an absolute pleasure photographing their wedding in a relaxed and creative style – romantic and vintage – the rustic meeting the modern.

We are now taking the last bookings for this summer and are looking forward to a busy season. As always, we like to share our knowledge and experience with our existing customers and future ones alike.

One of the subjects close to everyones heart seems to be how to keep to a tight budget, but still have a fabulous day. There are many things you can cut down on your wedding day to keep the costs within budget, like asking for help from family and friends, but we don’t believe wedding photography is something that you should gamble with. Your photographs will be just about the only material thing you get to keep from your big day, so you really shouldn’t be taking chances in that department.

As with any profession it takes knowledge, experience and time to master the art of taking good photos and the photographer also needs to know what is going to happen next, and how to capture it in order to provide the couple with the best memories of their all-important day. But don’t just take our word for it – ask a friend or family member who has got married recently and you may find that in hindsight they wished they have saved on other items . . . .

To celebrate Mother’s Day we are running the last few days of our special portrait offer – a free 8×10″ framed photo with every portrait session booked before Sunday. As usual we can issue vouchers, and also the offer applies the appointments booked before the Sunday but can take place after the 18th March.

Our new framing service has been welcomed by our existing customers and we are really proud to offer another in-house service. The 3D cards designed by Jo Bettis have also been a hit, very unusual and exclusive!

With spring in the air we are out and about in Maldon, capturing the beauty of our town for a new season. Following the snow photos we have decided to start the new collection with a panorama view of the High Street which will be displayed in our window in the next few days.

Creative Wedding Photography, Makeovers, Portraits and Pet Portraits

With the recent snowfall we have enjoyed capturing our beautiful town and, once again photographing white weddings! We are very lucky not to have to worry about getting around as the drivers of a 4×4 and with her European background Camelia seems to enjoy the snow most alongside our son and our dog! Maldon looked enchanting on Saturday night when we put our snow boots on and capture it at 11.30pm with the first snow fall and no cars, by Sunday the snow was much deeper but the presence of car does take away from the picture postcard effect.

On Sunday we will be at the studio, by appointment, but as usual we are available for off chance pop ins and collections.

Our Cherubs offer is very popular with new mums, we look at capturing the new baby through to walking stage, for more information don’t hesitate to call. Gemma, pictured above with little Coby, has arranged the session for when he was 2 weeks old in order to capture the very precious new born look, which goes all too quickly.
